Hoffman Homes, Inc is accepting applicants for the position of IT Support Specialist. This position assists the IT Supervisor to problem-solve and help HH employees with IT-related concerns. The IT Support Specialist completes many of the daily functions of the IT department to include distribution and maintenance of equipment, troubleshooting, and monitoring of systems.
This is a full-time position.
Duties Include:
- Be available to provide support, training and assistance to all employees and presenters, regarding software and IT equipment.
- Develop support material (i.e., handouts, videos) to include trouble-shooting guides.
- Troubleshoot IT concerns that do not need outsourced.
- Maintain equipment and keep systems updated.
- Assist 3rd-party IT Support with network and email accounts, as well as student network accounts.
- Development and management of databases.
- Generate and maintain inventory for IT Department.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of the web content filter, the network infrastructure and servers to include the email server and email archive server.
Desired Knowledge/Experience:
- Training will be provided. Applicants with limited experience may be considered.
- A bachelor's or associate's degree in an IT-related field. H.S. Diplomas or GED will be considered with the appropriate experience.
- At least one-year experience in an IT-related capacity within an organization- ideally and education or healthcare-related organization.
- Proficiency with Apple OS X workstation and server, as well as iOS 7+ operation (strongly desired).
- Proficiency with Windows OS.
- Experience with Audio/Visual equipment (e.g., projectors, microphones, amplifiers, etc.).
- Experience with Dish Network installation and setup.
- Experience with telephone switches as well as data and voice cabling (copper and/or fiber) installation and termination.
- Experience with data networking equipment (routers, switches, etc.)
- Experience with two-way radio systems.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management Solutions and Learning Management Systems.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is a plus.
- Proper clearances as designated by Pennsylvania Child Protective Service Law and the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and Pennsylvania Department of Education.
